Download Templates – Our Treat!

By | December 2, 2008 | BPM, Open Source

In the PM Library, you can download templates, get a feel for ProcessMaker features and functions, and see first-hand how PM could work in your organization.

Downloading workflows from the Library is like taking candy from a baby (a freely available, open source, user-friendly baby I might add) :)

Here’s how:

1.  Access the Library:  Visit http://library.processmaker.com.  Browse processes descriptions and screenshots.  Alternately, PM Live users can access the list of available processes directly from the Processes Tab.

2.  Download: When you see a process that suits your fancy, click “download”.  To download certain processes, you’ll need to create an account and log in.  Alternately, PM Live users can log in using their *workspace* (not user id) and password.

3.  Import:  Upload the process to your workspace.  Go to the Processes Tab, and click Import.  Then browse for the file and select.  Alternately, if you’ve accessed the Library directly through PM Live, the process will import automatically.

4.  Add Users:  User accounts are unique to your workspace, and do NOT import/export with a process template.  So, you’ll need to add users to the groups that participate in your new process.  Check to see which groups are assigned to each task, and add users to those groups.

For example, imagine you’ve imported a process in which the first task is assigned to the group Employees.  So, you’ll need to create user accounts (at least one) and assign them to the group Employees.  You can also assign existing users to this group.

Once you’ve completed these steps, the process is now yours.  You can do with it whatever you’d like.  If you like the process (or don’t), you can rate it, give feedback, or subscribe to it for updates in the Library.

Bon appetit!
