Colosa has a proven track record of enhancing workflow management for government agencies around the world. Even the US Secret Service has implemented ProcessMaker. With this in mind, we are proud to see that the US government and its military is taking further steps forward to improve its processes, as revealed in this Washington Technology article which features an interview with the head of the US Army’s IT.

There are numerous government bodies that still have a great deal of room for improvement in how they function. There are many areas where implementing a strong modern BPM (business process management) tool will lead to optimized operations and tremendous budget savings. The Army is beginning to rollout a BPM system alongside an $8 billion investment in ERP (enterprise resource planning), with further plans to integrate these systems in the future. Together, they will be managing inventories which are worth billions of dollars and systems that are crucial to the operation of America’s national defense.

Integration is an intelligent and increasingly popular route for organizations demanding the most out of their ERP, and is a major reason why we’ve sought out ERP specialists such as Openbravo to partner with. The US Army should be applauded for its forward-thinking approach to workflows, as well as for pursuing a long-term vision for its processes and resources.
